A FAIR GO FOR FAIRNESS – restoring equity
with Fr Peter Norden SJ and Dr Ray Cleary

Father Peter Norden was then Associate Director of Jesuit Social Services, an Adjunct Professor in the School of Social Science and Planning at R.M.I.T. University, a National Board Member of ACOSS (the Australian Council of Social Services) and Convener of the Victorian Criminal Justice Coalition. On Australia Day 2007 Fr Peter Norden was appointed an Officer in the Order of Australia for “service to community development through social research and programs to help marginalised young people and offenders, to the mental health sector and to the Catholic Church”.
Dr Ray Cleary, Chief Executive Officer at Anglicare Victoria, spoke out of over 38 years experience within community service agencies. After several senior positions in the field, he took up his current appointment at Anglicare Victoria in December 2000. He has been Chair of the Social Responsibilities Committee Anglican Diocese of Melbourne, and for a number of years chaired the Victorian Churches Gambling Task Force. In 2001 Dr Cleary chaired the Victorian Government’s Ministerial Advisory Committee on Homelessness.
