Pope Francis has invited young economists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and change-makers under the age of 35 to come to Assisi for an international event on 26-28 March 2020 to discuss ideas for social and economic reform.
The proposal for the Economy of Francesco is to engage the creativity of young researchers and scholars – beyond differences of beliefs and nationalities – on reshaping their countries and economies for increased justice and sustainability.
Taking part in the conference will be prominent economists like Jeffrey Sachs and Amartya Sen, experts in sustainable development, and business people from varied economic systems. From the people who register, 500 will be selected to attend a pre-event scheduled for 24-25 March.
