Now the Election is done and dusted (well, except for a few seats in both Houses), it may be worth a quick comment on some of the policies of the incoming Government. Policies that differentiated it from Labor.

The issues which differentiated the parties were:

  • Foreign aid
  • Indigenous welfare
  • Carbon Tax repeal
  • Paid parental leave
  • Mining Tax

Also included are the policies on refugees, but I have not counted them among my ‘five issues’, as both parties have ended up with similar polices on this matter.
